Crochet ♥ heart ♥ shaped cup coasters

Here is one more gift idea for the Valentine's day - crochet heart shaped cup coasters. They are quick and easy to make, you don't need a lot of yarn, any leftovers of matching colors can be used. You can give it either to friends, relatives or to your beloved person. The cup coaster will remind them about your love and care every time they'll drink their tea or coffee or whatever.
Everything you need is crochet hook, scissors and of course some yarn.
And here is the crochet scheme.
This is a basic heart pattern. I also added some edging for my heart cup coasters. This one has two rows of single crochet stitches - white and pink one.
For the second heart I've made a shell edging. Here is a description.

Kiev Botanic Garden

Today I've visited Kiev Botanic Garden, also known as State Botanical Garden or the Botanical Garden of the Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. We visit it every year usually on the 9-10th of May, cuz that's the time when lilac (there is a huge collection of it here) is blooming and, believe me, that's worth seeing... and smelling. This year we're going to visit our Botanic Garden as usual, but we decided to make one more visit today and see the magnolias blooming. And that was unbelievable! Magnolias were gorgeous - white, pink, dark pink. The ground was covered with their petals like with the snow. Well, I won't explain better then the photos will do. Just have a look. Aren't they beautiful?

Of course, we've found not only magnolias. Next set of photos is especially for tulip lovers.

A little bit more of yellow...

A little bit of white...

The next one is not actually white. It is of a special and very interesting pale pink color. There wasn't anything green on that tree. Even the leaves were a little pinky. Very nice tree.

Some more orange/pink...

Some blue...

And my favorite. Guess what? Purple, of course. Oh, what a color! What the flowers... Our nature is fabulous, definitely.

And a little bit of views. The sky was very strange today.

As you see, I've got a great portion of flower/nature/colour therapy today, it gave me a lot of positive energy and pleasure, that I'm sending to you through this photos. Have a great day! I'll show you more photos from the Garden when lilacs will bloom.

Violet blooms

Hi! Thanks for stopping by. We have a nice sunny day, but it's still cold a little. It was even snowing on Saturday - in the middle of March.

The beautiful violet in our room finally opened its petals and showed the fabulous purple colour.

I already wrote that this is not my violet, I was asked to look after it for some time, and I want to plant my own violet. Maybe the Violet felt my wish and gave me the leaf. It happened few weeks ago when I found small buds on it and was taking some photos. I made a careless move and suddenly realized that there is a leaf in my hand. Now the leaf is planted and lives near his mommy. Hope closeness to the mom and my huge desire will help my little violet to grow in a beautiful flower and delight me with its purple blooms.

Hope the photos will fully describe how gorgeous is this flower. Love the colour! Did I tell you that purple is my favourite? Well, this is just that hue, which I like the best. Especially dark one.

It has so many flowers at the same time. Like it was preparing power whole winter.

There still is a lot of buds on it.

Enjoy few more photos.

I've seen a lot of violets in my life and I can say that this one is the most beautiful, because of its colour, wavy edges, fluffy surfaces and that brilliant shine of the petals. Yes, shine, the petals are like covered with thousands of tinsels that are particularly visible under the sun shine. I tried to show that on the next photo. In real life it looks brighter, but that's better than nothing.

Hope you enjoyed this beauty as much as I did. On this optimistic note I'll say bye! Have a great day! And don't forget to mention little pleasant moments! See ya!
